Overall:
The stay was very pleasant. We were mostly away from the villa visiting the towns and cities of Tuscany. We left early in the morning and returned late in the evening. For someone who likes to just sit back and relax, this is the perfect place.
Enjoyed Most:
The exceptional views of the surrounding mountains and valley from all back windows. The large shower was a plus, also.
Enjoyed Least:
The distance from the villa to the city of Lucca and surrounding towns and sights. Approximately a 50-minute drive.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Other than where the villa is situated the next town would be Piano di Coreglia--about 15-minutes away by car.
Tips or Restaurants:
The local restaurant Archile (within the village) was very good.
Directions:
Pay attention when you enter into the roundabouts.
Check In Out:
Anna-Marie was delightful with her help and charm--a real plus for any visitor to the property.

Overall:
Overall, we had an amazing stay at Casa Coreglia. The villa was charming, the village was quaint, and the church bells were endearing - no need for clocks! We found the peace and quiet we were looking for, and it was a wonderful escape! We hope to return again someday, perhaps with our children!
Enjoyed Most:
The stunning view!
Enjoyed Least:
The tiny shower on the second floor (only to discover later that there was a larger shower on the main floor! Hidden in what we thought was a closet or laundry room!)
Surrounding Area:
The scenic drives through the valley and nearby hilltop villages, the beautiful walled town of Lucca, and an easy drive to Florence in one direction, and the sea in the other direction!
Nearby Events or Locales:
Situated in the town of Coreglia Antelminelli, it was a very convenient stroll to the nearest restaurant, cafe, and local market.
Tips or Restaurants:
The restaurant around the corner, L'Arcile, had great food and local charm.
Directions:
Our GPS got us there without a hitch.
Check In Out:
The owner, Anna Maria, was delightful. It was great to chat with her about the local places to visit and to dine, and she always made herself available for questions.

Overall:
This was a wonderful experience. We had no car, by choice, and spent all 7 days at the villa relaxing, reading and drinking wine by the pool. Originally, I had planned to cook a few meals there but discovered L'Archife, a fabulous restaurant, about 30 feet from the front gate of the villa. We ate there everyday. It is run by a lovely family. Every dish was wonderful with the fresh pasta a true standout!
Enjoyed Most:
Without a doubt, the view was the best.
Enjoyed Least:
The bathroom upstairs is rather small. The bathroom downstairs is nice but inconvenient.
Surrounding Area:
The village is charming. We enjoyed walking and meeting some of the residents.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The villa itself is in the village within easy walking distance of the market, drugstore, bank, etc.
Tips or Restaurants:
Previous visitors warned about the church bells so we took ear plugs. We found the ear plugs unnecessary as the bells are charming.
Directions:
We hired a driver in Florence to take us to the villa as we chose not to drive.
