- The Dorsodouro district in Venice is the neighborhood most appreciated by artists and poets. Starting from the area near the Basilica della Salute and the Punta della Dogana, which now offers one of the most important art manifestations in the city, continuing on to the area of the Accademia and Ca'Rezzonico with its art galleries.
- Exterior Description
- This apartment is located inside a luxurious 16th-century palace on the Grand Canal and its uniqueness is enhanced by the garden created in the mid-1800s and considered one of the most charming ones in the city. The Swedish director Hallstrom used the garden in filming some scenes in the film Casanova.

Customer Reviews
Overall:
We enjoyed it very much and would just have liked to have had more time there.
Enjoyed Most:
Fabulous location right on the Grand Canal, 3 minutes from a vaporetto stop, 3 minutes from a grocery and vegetable market, 5 minutes from the Academy of Art, etc. Plus the building (16th century) is charming with a large, beautiful garden in the rear.
Surrounding Area:
The history and charm. Venice is a wonderful city, much to do and see. Just wish we had had more time.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bug spray.
Directions:
We were nervous about making contact with the key holder, as we were to meet at a vaporetto stop. As it turned out, he was about30-minutes late, but because we had been telephoned about the delay, we weren't nervous.
Check In Out:
There is a hotel adjacent to the vaporetto stop for this property (I think it's the Venice Grand). I would suggest meeting in the lobby (or cafe) there, so there's not the issue of standing out on the street with your luggage in the event of a delay.
