- This apartment is located in the center of the canal-filled city of Venice and is near the Madonna dell’Orto church. As one of the top travel destinations in the world, Venice has plenty of amazing things to do and see. Although you may be inclined to take a gondola ride or two, be sure to visit the Grand Canal, St Mark’s Square, and the Basilica dei Frari. Within walking distance are shops, restaurants, and markets. The nearest Vaporetto (waterbus) lines are 42 and 52 and the stop is Orto.

- (40m2) This apartment is located in a quiet part of Venice near the Madonna dell’Orto Church. There is a private garden with a table, chairs, and other furniture.
- Interior Description
- (95m2) Ground floor: There is a living room with a couch, TV (local channels only), dining table with chairs, and access to the garden. The kitchen is equipped with a cook-top, oven, microwave, and dishwasher as well as a table with chairs. There are two bedrooms, each with a 160 cm queen-sized bed, and two bathrooms. The first bathroom has a sink, toilet, and tub and the second bathroom has a sink, toilet, and shower.

Overall:
The location was wonderful for access both to the Grand Canal and the water taxis and being in Venice in this place made the experience magical.
Enjoyed Most:
Location! Peace and quiet.
Enjoyed Least:
Small bedrooms and no shower in the bathtub.

Nearby Events or Locales:
Venice itself was very easy to get around by foot, and the islands of Murano and Burano were in easy access via the water taxi.
Tips or Restaurants:
Venice is a city that is wonderful to get lost in. I would recommend as we did to spend a day wandering and not worrying about getting lost. It is an easy city to find your way around and the Venicians are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to charm you. Spend a day eating where the local do....you'll be glad you did.
Directions:
No need for that in Venice...everything is easy to walk to from the Madonna dell Orto vaporetto stop. Ricardo was very helpful and accomodating as our apartment manager. And we found Venice to be very safe.
Check In Out:
I would suggest calling the manager when you arrive at the water taxi at the airport.

Enjoyed Most:
It was in a quiet part of the city. It was very comfortable and we felt right at home. There was a nice outdoor area with grass and a privacy wall so we felt safe. It also had great WiFi connections!
Enjoyed Least:
The washing machine was broken. Nicolai told us if it wasn't fixed by the next day he would come and get our laundry. We never saw him again, but we called the property management company and Barbara came immediately. She was very sweet!
Surrounding Area:
Venice was wonderful. The location was off the beaten path and the boat transportation was just a short distance away. We were right next door to a beautiful church and we witnessed a wedding and reception.
Tips or Restaurants:
All of the restaurants were amazing. Go to San Marco's square at night for a wonderful treat!
Directions:
We arrived by train and the directions told us which boat to take; one of the stops was near our villa and we walked right to it!

Overall:
This was a wonderful place to stay in Venice. It was not near the center of the city, so that it was very quiet and non-touristy, but only about a 15 minute walk to get to the center.
Enjoyed Most:
The apartment was very large, for a European city apartment.
Surrounding Area:
It was great to walk around in at night very quiet, very peaceful.
Check In Out:
We got lost finding the property - because we used the directions of someone in the hotel we had stayed in the night before (your directions were fine I should have used them!) and we were very late meeting the key holder. He waited for us and was very good natured about our lateness.
