About The Experience

The way to describe this villa in Liguria is to imagine reading one of those books, the charming ones in which the characters curl up on the couch and listen to the sounds of the sea. You would be that character while staying at this vacation rental, which is actually a tower too! Of course you probably won’t want to spend all your time reading, as you’ll want to get to visit Portofino (just a short walk away!), but you should definitely expect to have a unique stay while at this self-catering accommodation!

Location Description

The property is located just a few minutes away by foot from Portofino, a village that is considered to be among the most beautiful Mediterranean ports on the Italian Riviera. Full of tree-lined cliffs and ocean views, Portofino, although small, features boutique shopping, delicious dining, and fun-filled water sport opportunities. The main site is the Castello Brown, a 16th century castle and museum situated above Portofino’s harbor. You’ll also find a small grocery store and pharmacy. The nearest supermarket is in Santa Margherita, which is two kilometers away. Day trip destinations can include Rapallo, Le Cinque Terre and La Spezia.

Exterior Description

This ancient tower, which is now a villa, overlooks the bay of Portofino and is surrounded by greenery, olive trees, and cypresses. There is a private terrace with a table and chairs. Please be aware that the property is not accessible by car. If you are arriving with a car, you will leave it at the Portofino parking lot and walk to the villa.

Ground floor: The entrance leads to a dining room with a table and chairs and a kitchen equipped with a cook-top, oven, toaster, and dishwasher.
Lower ground floor: A staircase of 15 steps leads down to one bedroom with a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a sink, toilet, shower, and tub. There is a second bedroom with a lofted 90 cm single bed (most suitable for a child) and a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower.
First floor: A staircase of 15 steps leads up to three bedrooms and one bathroom. The first and second bedrooms each have one 90 cm single bed. The third bedroom has a set of 90 cm single bunk beds (most suitable for children). There is one bathroom with a sink, toilet, shower, and tub.
Second floor: A staircase of 15 steps leads up to a living room with couches and access to the terrace.
