About The Experience

Casa Poetica is located via a five-minute walk from the center of the charming village of Portovenere, which is a perfect location for visiting the Cinque Terre, Lerici, Levanto, and other gems of the Ligurian coast. From the windows there are wonderful views of the Golfo dei Poeti and the Palmaria Island.

Location Description

Located within a 5-minute walk of the medieval village of Portovenere, this two-floor apartment offers views of the Gulf of Poets, including Palmaria Island and Lerici. A short walk will take you to the main public beach, shops, restaurants, a grocery store, pharmacy, and the ferries to go to the Cinque Terre, Lerici, Palmaria Island, and Tellaro. There is also a nearby bus stop for trips into La Spezia. Further in town is the ancient castle and fortress, dating back to the 10th century. For those who like the outdoors, there are many opportunities for hiking from the village, as well as elsewhere in the area, including the diverse and wide-ranging network of trails of the Cinque Terre. Unwind at the near beaches of L'Arenella, Royal, and L'Olivo, which welcome you with clear water and pebbly sand. There is a 9-hole golf course in Lerici, and an 18-hole course in Forte dei Marmi.

Exterior Description

From the main road into town and the beaches, there are two entrances to the property: a pedestrian door from the main road that leads into the small private garden and to the front door (glass door); also on the main road is a gate through which a car can drive on a paved driveway to the private garage. From the garage there is a flight of stairs to the property.

Interior Description

Ground Floor: From the garden one enters the living area with a large comfortable sofa and window which overlooks the sea. There are three steps up to the dining area that is open to the living room and lit by the large window. All of the furnishings are elegant and stylish. The kitchen, newly refurbished, is close to the dining area.

First Floor: (Accessed by a wooden curved staircase) On this floor there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed (160 cm), wonderful views of the sea, and a small balcony with space for two chairs. The second bedroom has twin beds, which can be joined to form a double bed, appropriate for young people. There is another single bed in the landing at the top of the staircase that is appropriate for a third young person. There are two bathrooms (not en suite) each with a shower.
