Perched high above the town, with magnificent views of the town and the sea from the terrace, this comfortable rental in Positano, Italy, is located in a beautiful family villa, which has been divided into six vacation rentals. Owned and managed by a warm and welcoming family, who also live in a part of the villa, each Amalfi Coast rental has its own character. What they all share, however, is the magnificent view and easy access into the center of Positano. Close by are bus stops for other destinations along the Amalfi Coast, making this accommodation a wonderful choice for two couples or a family, or even a large group of friends or family. Several weddings have been celebrated at this property, utilizing the large common terrace on one of the top levels.

Overall:
We would return in a heartbeat.
Enjoyed Most:
The town was charming, and the view from the terrace was absolutely amazing. The owners were very helpful and friendly, and obviously took great pride in both their property and their town.
Unpleasant Surprises:
There really wasn't anything we didn't like. People have commented on the steps going down to the beach, but that is Positano - no way around it. The steps just let us eat guilt-free.
Surrounding Area:
Positano is an absolutely charming town that has a great location enabling us to see Paestum, Pompeii, Capri - aside from the nearby towns. The people in Positano were very kind and welcoming.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We took the bus to Sorrento, but actually hired a car to tour us around the Amalfi coast - well worth it.
Tips or Restaurants:
Be ready to eat good food - the steps will burn it off! Be sure to bring comfortable shoes. Although you can take the local bus around Positano, walking is much more fun, and the shops are fun to go through.

Enjoyed Most:
Terrific location, grocery store across the street. convenient to town and easy to get home by bus. Loved the ability to rent adjacent unit so that our group of 7 could be close together and share the terrace and clothes line. Wonderful, friendlyand hospitable owners. Artistic decorating touches, such as son's artwork and hand-painted tiles. Plenty of storage space. Reasonably priced and great alternative to the expensive hotels.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Second bedroom is a very small interior room with no outside doors or windows and is hot and stuffy.
Surrounding Area:
Water at beaches is unbelievably warm and clear for swimming. Shops in Positano all have unique one-of-a kind items, particularly women's boutiques, and they're reasonably priced even with weak exchange rate. There's a huge selection of restaurants in all price ranges, and food was excellent. House is a good base for exploring Ravello, Amalfi, Capri, Sorrento and Pompeii although a shame to waste a precious day in Positano for very long.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Bring comfortable shoes. For 1 euro you can take the Interno Positano bus into town long way around though, because road is on-way, or home, which is really nice after dinner. We enjoyed stopping at all the shops when we walked into town.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring area bug spray for terrace in the evening. We never used air conditioning and were not bothered by mosquitoes if we closed all doors and windows before dusk and reopened them after dark. Put washing machine on D setting for shortest 45 min cycle, and wait 2 min when done before opening door. If you take the bus to another town, you have to buy ticket at the tobacco shop in center of town, then walk up the hill to the bus stop on the Amalfi Drive. It's not the bus stop in front of the tobacco shop. Do stretching exercises after each day so you won't be sore after climbing all of the hills and steps. There's no need for a car, driving is treacherous and there is no place to park. If you bring a car, get collision insurance----we returned the cars with lots of dents and scrapes because of tight locations and we've never had this problem at home. Need to reserve high-speed ferry in advance at ticket kiosk near the ferry dock e.g., to go to Capri.
