Set in the hills it benefits from splendid panoramas over the coast. The house is situated in a park within the grounds and is completely enclosed. The suggestive and panoramic coastal road passes 50 m below and a local train service passes near the house. Reserved parking space in the internal courtyard.

Weekly cleaning of the accommodation. Reasonably comfortable furniture. Central heating. Baby-bed available.
LOCATION: 300 m Vietri, 21 km Amalfi, 25 km Pompei, 40 km Positano. The location is characterised by the beauty of the promontory and the clear blue sea with its beautiful backdrop. The area is full of important archeological finds and nearby Paestum is one of the most significant.

Enjoyed Most:
The views from every room and the patio. The privacy and security were very good.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Power kept going out in the morning. Dogs were slightly annoying, too.
Surrounding Area:
Salerno was close and easily accessed.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Vietri Sul Mare was charming and shopkeepers were friendly. Well within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Restaurant for fish was Da Lucia - Excellent.
La Locanda was very good too.
Check In Out:
The caretakers did not speak any English.

Overall:
This is a good place to stay, very reasonable rates compared to other towns in the area, and the drawbacks are minimal...I only blew the fuse twice with my hair dryer! The outside deck and the washing machine were big bonuses! I would stay here again without hesitation.
Enjoyed Most:
The location and the view were great and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. It was close enough to walk into town to dinner and close to the autostrada and Costiera Amallfitana, so easy to reach by car. Private, gated parking near the unit a plus! The town and the people were great!!! Prices at the restaurants in Vietri were VERY good, especially considering the area, and the food was EXCELLENT see my picks below.
Unpleasant Surprises:
One in the group was bothered by the train and dogs and church bells at night -- two of us didn't notice them at all at night. The fuses would blow easily - they warn you about it, but just 2 appliances at once will do it, so have a flashlight handy.
Surrounding Area:
Close to Sorrento, with easy access to the ferries for Capri and the other towns along the coast. It was also easily accessible by car.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Vietri sul Mare was the nearest town and it was within walking distance...lots of shopping and some really good restaurants friendly residents, especially if you speak a bit of Italian.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring a flashlight for walking back up to the house at night, and in case you blow a fuse. Try the pizza at the Pub SudEst and the bruschetta and wine at DiVino, both on the main street as you walk into town. Miramar had the best gelato, and the seafood eggplant at No. 34 da Lucia up in the middle of town, across from the school was FANTASTIC and very reasonable. Ask Ana Maria at the alimentari next to the newsstand for directions, she may even walk you there.
Directions:
When it says "left at the small lane in front of the ceramics factory," it means IMMEDIATE left. The street is narrow and crowded with cars, and although it looks like a one-way street, it's actually a two-way, so take the curve slowly!

Enjoyed Most:
Size of rooms, bedrooms, living room, spacious patio. View of Gulf of Salerno. Gardens. Private, gated property. Private parking space. Overall, we would return to this villa.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Dogs bark too frequently. Trains DO run from 5:30AM until 10:00PM under the property. Although owners had an electronic pass for the first gate, we had to get out of the car to unlock the gate. Extra control pad should be available. Final property gate was padlocked on the inside. Very difficult at night to reach in to open with key.
Surrounding Area:
Great strategic location for getting to all of Amalfi coast, Naples, Vesuvio environs, Salerno.
Nearby Events or Locales:
3 minutes walk to Vietri sul Mare.
Check In Out:
Would be more convenient if the homeowner evening contact could speak some English. Also, we did not know that we would have to make the beds upon arrival.
