Walk down 48 steps to reach the sea from this holiday accommodation on the Amalfi Coast, near the village of Minori. Walk into town in the evening to pick up fresh vegetables and meats for dinner, which you can prepare in your own kitchen. This Amalfi Coast apartment is also nicely furnished with period pieces.

Two cosy apartments built over two floors in a two-family villa and situated on the enchanting stretch of coast between Amalfi and Minori. You can hire beach umbrellas, deckchairs and boats at all the resorts along the coastline. Peaceful position within about 1.000 m2 of grounds which slope down from the coastal road to the sea by a series of staircases through gardens and terracings full of typical Mediterranean shrubbery . Directly from the apartment, by going down 48 stairs, you reach the sea and a spacious and equipped sunbathing area. Reserved outdoor area for each apartment. Washing machine shared between the two apartments Other areas are shared with the owners who occasionally live in the other apartment. ACCOMMODATION: (100 m2) Gr. fl.: living/dining room (TV) with fireplace and double divan bed and access onto the equipped terrace/garden (80 m2), kitchen (oven, freezer), small WC (no bidet and no window). 1st fl.: 2 twin bedded rooms, both have a bathroom with shower. Parking for 1 car on the property which is accessed by a costal road.
LOCATION: 500 m Minori (various shops), 2.5 km Amalfi, 17 km Vietri, 20 km Positano.

Overall:
This is a beautiful property. The location and the "beach" made it all worth the steps each day.
Enjoyed Most:
The view was absolutely breathtaking. It was spacious and clean.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The steps! There are 144 steps down and up to the front door. Need to let people know this before renting.
Surrounding Area:
We decided not to drive the coastal road, but public transportation was cheap and good. We loved going into Ravello and walking down the steps - many, many of them - to Minori.
Nearby Events or Locales:
We adopted Minori as our village. The people were friendly, helpful and supplies were available, as well as the public bus. A ten minute walk on the coastal road kept you on the lookout for cars!
Tips or Restaurants:
Be sure to bring toilet paper, plastic baggies, matches, and coffee and rolls for breakfast on Sunday. Most stores are closed on Sunday. There was a small store in Maiori that was most helpful and open on Sunday. The sign to it is right on the main road across from the beach.
Directions:
Be on the lookout for the black gated drive - in the middle of the curve. Plenty of room to park.

Overall:
We will never forget this place. It gave us time outside of time.
Enjoyed Most:
The extraordinary view of the open sea, private access to the ocean, the lovely veranda and patio, the lemon and fig trees.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The mosquitoes, the heat.
Surrounding Area:
We enjoyed swimming in the ocean and then walking into town to buy fresh ingredients for each evening's meal - veal, prosciutto and pancetta at the butcher's, fusilli and tagliatelle at the pasta-makers' shop, pane at the "forno antico," basil and gigantic red peppers at the vegetable shop run by an Italian grandmother who refused to sell us anything she thought was unworthy.

Minori, a ten minute walk.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring mosquito netting and spray, buy plug-in repellent and citronella candles there. We were just fine as long as we were vigilant!
