Overall:
This is an excellent property, mainly because of the location. It's amazing how quiet it is. It's easy to see why the buildings were built the way they were.
Enjoyed Most:
Location, location, location. Everything is within walking distance. The apartment is located off a secluded courtyard and is very quiet after the huge doors to the street are closed.
Unpleasant Surprises:
A relatively minor thing, but there were no wastebaskets except for a small one in the bathroom.
Surrounding Area:
Central Florence speaks for itself. The street itself had shops, a pizzeria, an Internet cafe, and a supermarket around the corner.
Nearby Events or Locales:
NA
Tips or Restaurants:
There's an American-style coffee maker, but the supermarket didn't carry coffee filters. I ended up using paper towels, so it might be a good idea to bring cone filters.
We found a good restaurant in the Via F. Portinari, a street between the property and the Duomo. Almost any of the restaurants in the Piazza del Duomo or the Piazza Signoria are good.

Overall:
I would stay here again!
Enjoyed Most:
This was a great location.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Initially, the property was chilly because it had rained the week before we arrived and the heat was off per government rules. It was warmer outside. However, after a couple of days, it was very comfortable. I'm sure this property would be comfortable in the heat of summer. Also, both bathrooms were upstairs, this was a little inconvenient for my elderly father.
Surrounding Area:
We were very close to the Duomo and taxis. My parents accompanied my daughter and me, and my father can't walk far and needs a cane. The location could not have been better.
Tips or Restaurants:
We brought coffee filters, a roll of TP and paper towels, small salt and pepper.
We bought simple staples at the nearby market: milk, bread, fruit, butter, wine.
We were pleased with the different restaurants. Osteria-Pizzeria was in the nearby area within walking distance.

Overall:
Overall, we enjoyed the property very much. It is well decorated as well.
Enjoyed Most:
The location, it is in the heart of the city, but still nice and quiet. We used the kitchen quite often to cook some simple things. It feels like home away from home. Great for families with young kids.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We didn't have electricity the last night and I had to check the manual in the morning to reset the button outside the apartment.
Also, there was supposed to be Internet access in the apartment, but the agent failed to show us how it works.
Surrounding Area:
It is close to all the major attractions.
Tips or Restaurants:
It is a great place to rent for a family with kids to have a relaxed vacation. There are plenty to see close by, and you can have a simple lunch at the apartment and have a nap if you like.
