The estate consists of the main complex comprised of 17 apartments (Bianco apartments), reception desk, and pool area with taverna, and one farmhouse (Rosso apartments) housing seven beautiful apartments on the hillside. Access to the Rosso farmhouse is via about 2 km of a steep, unpaved road (common in the Chianti region). The apartments share a swimming pool (open May – end of October). Guests staying in the Rosso apartments can drive down the unpaved road to the pool, or, prepare for a long walk downhil (and uphill to return!). In addition, there is a gym, Turkish bath and sauna, and tennis court located at the main complex.

Overall:
The property was great. It was more than we expected. The apartment was very spacious and it was part of a smaller group of units separated from the main complex which resulted in a sense of privacy. It was located on a hill surounded by vineyards and it was harvest time which was fun to watch. They staff was great, breakfasts were interesting. They provide dinner when requested which was mediocre at best. The cost was 30 euro. It is a convenience if you get in late and don't want to try to find a restaurant the first day. The one thing we didn't anticipate was the number of units here and the number of people. They have 30 apartments. It wasn't bad, it was just that your description did not make this clear. It implied a smaller complex.
Enjoyed Most:
The privacy of the guesthouse.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The dinners and the fact that they were putting in a tennis court. Also the 0.7km walk to breakfast which was up and down a steep hill. We were told not to walk it a night because of wild boars. So we drove to breakfast.
Surrounding Area:
Country full of vineyards. Wonderful wooded rolling hills, beautiful houses scattered around the hillsides.
Events or Locales:
The second Sunday of every month was a winetasting in the main square in Greve in Chianti. It was a complete surprise that we happened upon where for 8 euros you could taste wine from over 100 wineries in the region. It went on all afternoon and into the evening.
Tips or Suggestions:
Bring washcloths. They are stingy with towels. Skip the wine tour for 30 euros.

Overall:
Absolutely beautiful property. Beautiful views of the valleys. The terraces are great and the grounds keeper was very nice.
Enjoyed Most:
The villa was very comfortable and roomy. Beautiful furnishings. The bathrooms were the best I have ever found in a rental property in Italy. The kitchen was well equipped with nice wine glasses; two bottles of Antinori wine are provided upon your arrival.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The property was hard to find on the narrow gravel roads.
Surrounding Area:
The views were beautiful and Florence and Siena were very easy to get to.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The private tour that Antinori gives its guests was fascinating.

Just what we needed!!! Exceeded our expectations. No complaints!
Enjoyed Most:
Quiet; very helpful and informative staff.
Unpleasant Surprises:
No fan in bedroom to help cool down room after very hot days.
Surrounding Area:
Accessible to major highways. The local towns were just as interesting as the major cities. Liked the proximity to Greve and Radda.
Tips or Restaurants:
All restaurant recommendations were excellent.
