A short drive from various shops and the characteristic town of Lucca, this holiday villa in Tuscany is well located in addition to being well-appointed. Take day trips throughout Tuscany and the coast of Versilia, and come back to this villa to rent in Tuscany in the afternoon, where you'll be able to cool down with a barbequed meal and a dip in the pool.

Two villas set on a large lawn that is completely enclosed at the foot of the hills 11 km from Lucca (all kinds of shops and antique market). Views over the countryside. Peaceful position. On the equipped lawn is the shared swimming-pool (12x6), equipped with garden furniture, outside shower and small apartment where the caretaker lives. Both villas have a separate entrance gate and a vast stone-paved area. Upon request a cook will prepare evening meals and a tour guide for Lucca and surrounding area. TINA 1 can be booked also for 7 people under the name TINA 7: in this case some of the bedrooms will be closed. Reasonably comfortable furniture. Baby-bed available

(under the eaves): 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room, 2 single bedrooms, 1 bathroom with bath.
LOCATION: 2 km from all kinds of shops,16 km Montecatini Terme (golf), 37 km the sea, 80 km Florence.

The location was great! Very central to everything. The villa itself was beautiful.

The lighting was poor. The washing machine burned two pieces of clothing!

Enjoyed Most:
Everything. From the tile floors and sturdy, comfortable furniture, to the gorgeous grounds and pool, this was a beautiful, spacious, and comfortable place to stay. We enjoyed a barbecue one night at the outdoor grill. And the downstairs fireplace was a great place for conversation each night.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Three minor glitches -- but no one should avoid this place because of them.
1. There were two small leaks in a water line attached to the clothes washer.
2. There was a small leak behind the bowl in the groundfloor bathroom.
3 . A shower stall on the second floor was small and drained slowly.
But I repeat: This is a wonderful villa, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
Surrounding Area:
Vineyards, olive groves, and pastures more beautiful than da Vinci's imagination. A bar with a simple name - Bar - and wonderful wine that the owner sold by the half gallon for 5 euros per bottle. Just be sure to remember to return the corks with the bottles when you return them. The gregarious owner keeps track of his bottles and corks and wants all of them back. By the way, the surrounding area includes Lucca, Pisa, and Florence. What more could you want?
Nearby Events or Locales:
Gragnano. And yes, it was within walking distance. We hiked up the hillside to take some photos of paradise.
Tips or Restaurants:
There's a good seafood restaurant -- Alcova -- within a mile of the villa. If you need a good supermarket, there's an Esselunga in nearby Capponori. You might want to pick up a spatula. That was the only utensil we were unable to locate in the kitchen.
Directions:
You will encounter a traffic circle about a mile before you reach the Madonna in the center of an intersection. If people follow your directions to the letter, they will not make any wrong turns. Some members of our group got distracted and confused by that traffic circle, but we persuaded them to continue on the specified path, and everything turned out fine.
Check In Out:
Carolina was very gracious and helpful, as were the two groundskeepers. Checking in and out was a breeze. We thank everyone for their help.

Overall:
Just redone very nice.
Enjoyed Most:
The grounds around the house were very nice. We enjoyed the BBQ and pool. Nice view of the countryside from the gardens.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The downstairs kitchen and dining room were very dark so we only used the upper kitchen and rooms. We only used the bathroom on the ground floor. The ground floor rooms would be nicer if there were more windows.
Surrounding Area:
Easy acces to freeway to visit all of Tuscany.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Old Lucca and antique open market in town the weekend we were there.
Tips or Restaurants:
Saloon restaurant was on the main road to the villa near the super market was very good and reasonably priced. Not fast food but a complete restaurant used mostly by locals.
