Nestled in the hills outside of Lucca, this holiday villa in Tuscany enjoys lovely views of the rolling hills of the Tuscan countryside as well as a perfect location for exploring the hill towns of the region and the beaches of the coast of Versilia. Enjoy the peace and tranquility afforded by this Tuscany villa rental, or spend your days having adventures and discovering fine dining and even better wines throughout the region. We highly recommend that you spend at least one or two half-days exploring the characteristic town of Lucca.

If you never travel more than an hour away from this Italian villa, you'll have plenty of delights to explore. Begin with nearby Nozzano Castello, a tiny, charming village with a couple of restaurants and a bakery. From here there is easy access to a major highway that makes visiting other towns simple and quick. The gem of the area is Lucca, so close that the outer walls are visible from your villa. Here you can wander the ancient city streets and take in the sights. A little further will take you to Pisa, Versilia, and the seaside.

Unpleasant Surprises:
The narrow road up to the villa.
Surrounding Area:
The village of Nozzano Il Borgetto is nearby. I liked the ease of access to the area. Lucca is special.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nozzano Castello is great and easy to walk to or drive to.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring as little as you can! You can find all you need there or in Lucca or even Nozzano.

Overall:
We plan to return in the future.
Enjoyed Most:
Very private and spacious with great views of the surrounding
area. Owners were nice and willing to help with directions and
other advice about the area.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We were quite satisfied.
Surrounding Area:
The local restaurants and the proximity to Lucca
and Pisa. Nice grocery center near Lucca.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nozzano Castellana was about 1.7km. If you are a real hiker you
can make it down the hill, but we had a rental car.
Tips or Restaurants:
Get specific directions for your initial visit. Restaurants in Nozzano have
excellent house wine and excellent food at reasonable prices.
Check In Out:
Owners will meet you and it is smooth.

Overall:
This is my second visit to this property and, hopefully, I will have another opportunity to return.
Enjoyed Most:
The interior and exterior of the villa as well as the location are outstanding. It is very comfortable and spacious and met our expectations and needs perfectly. Also, the owners of the property were very gracious and helpful.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The electronic gate was tricky but we finally got the hang of it -- you must enter rather quickly!
Surrounding Area:
The vista from the terrace of the countryside. The property is surrounded with olive groves.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Nozzano Castello is a lovely and charming village. I wouldn't consider it within walking distance.
Tips or Restaurants:
Bring good books and enjoy the tranquility of the villa and surrounding area. Nozzano has a great trattoria, II Borghetto.
