It is hard to beat spending a week or two right in the middle of historic Siena - in your very own holiday apartment in Tuscany - located close to the Piazza del Campo, the center of the city. Let's face it, the Piazza del Campo is one of the most beautiful piazzas in the world - and you can be there with this Tuscany accommodation in Siena! Whether or not you plan your trip around the lead-up to the Palio, Siena's famous house races, held once in July and once in August, a Tuscany self-catering holiday will fully immerse you in Sienese sights, sounds and flavors. While it will be easy to hop a bus or train to other parts of Tuscany, we recommend that you spend most of your time enjoying the life of the town from your own Siena apartment rental.

Located on the top floor of a Renaissance palazzo in the heart of the old city, this Siena apartment rental is approximately two hundred yards from the central square, the Piazza del Campo, the setting for the Palio (medieval horse race) race in July and August. There are delis, markets, restaurants, and a bakery nearby, and plenty of sights to keep you busy. Siena is one of Italy's most beautiful cities, filled with art, history, and traditions. Explore the art and monuments in the Museo Civico, Il Duomo, Il Battistero, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale Etrusco - the list is endless. You are also just a few miles away from the wine producing regions of Chianti and Montalcino, and from the historic town of San Gimignano, should you feel so inclined to leave your pied-a-terre in central Siena.

Enjoyed Most:
We love the fact that Nanini, Il Campo, the Duomo and all the rest were within walking distance.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Trains and buses from Siena go almost anywhere the traveler wants to go.

Overall:
Renting the Clarinetto apartment turned out to be quite a great experience. After
doing extensive research on rental apartments, I was glad to see that my choice
proved successful! Rentvillas and my Travel Advisor were prompt and helpful with all correspondence.
Enjoyed Most:
Since my daughter was at the University, the location of the apartment could not have been more convenient. The views out the living and bedroom windows were exquisite. The apartment was well equipped as stated in the outline of amenities.
I truly enjoyed cooking for the Easter holiday.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The only negative was the ongoing construction that created much dust.
Surrounding Area:
The proximity to the University of Stranieri, Piazza Del Campo and shopping
was great! We were also able to take a few short bus trips from Siena's central
location to San Gimignano and Grossetto.
Nearby Events or Locales:
The bus depot was in the center of town and the train station just outside town. We
were able to walk there but take a taxi back to town! Many side trips are either an hour or less away.
Tips or Restaurants:
The apartment truly was well equipped as stated. Linens and electrical appliances
were well stocked.
Check In Out:
Upon following the instructions to the property, the on-site liaison, was waiting for us as stated. We called two days prior to arrival to tell her the approximate time of our arrival.

Enjoyed Most:
Loved it all...couldn't say what was best.
Unpleasant Surprises:
No problems.
Surrounding Area:
Everything! The ability to walk to one fascinating spot after another made this so special.
Tips or Restaurants:
The apartment had a copy of the Dorling Kinserling 10 Best of Everything in Tuscany. The 10 best restaurants in Siena were fantastic.
