Located on the top floor of a Renaissance palazzo in the heart of the old city, this Siena apartment rental is approximately two hundred yards from the central square, the Piazza del Campo, the setting for the Palio (medieval horse race) race in July and August. There are delis, markets, restaurants, and a bakery nearby, and plenty of sights to keep you busy. Siena is one of Italy's most beautiful cities, filled with art, history, and traditions. Explore the art and monuments in the Museo Civico, Il Duomo, Il Battistero, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale Etrusco - the list is endless. You are also just a few miles away from the wine producing regions of Chianti and Montalcino, and from the historic town of San Gimignano, should you feel so inclined to leave your pied-a-terre in central Siena.

This is a nice penthouse apartment located in a wonderful 16th Century palazzo close to the Piazza del Campo in the center of Siena. There is an elevator.

(125 m2) Fourth floor (with elevator + 8 steps). The living/dining room has a table for 8, a pull-out sofa bed that will comfortably sleep one, and a kitchenette with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, washing machine, and ironing facilities. There is one bedroom with a queen-size bed, one twin-bedded room (the beds can be joined to make a queen-size bed, upon request), and two bathrooms (one with tub with handheld shower head, sink and WC, and one with shower, sink and WC). There are wonderful views of the old city walls and the surrounding Chianti countryside.

Enjoyed Most:
The location near the heart of Siena. The view was wonderful as well, although the window framing the view was small. Still, we did not necessarily expect this great view, so it came as a nice surprise.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Only things so minor that if we mentioned them, we would sound picky indeed. The place was quite nice.
Surrounding Area:
Siena! A beautiful city. Certainly a contender for the most beautiful city in the world.
Tips or Restaurants:
List of restaurants provided in the room was fine. It being an apartment, the basic first necessities are provided, but the renter must bring or purchase own shampoo and cleaning supplies.

Enjoyed Most:
The apartment was great! It had plenty of room for our family 5 people. We were happy to spend time in our apartment at night, just hanging out. The apartment was within walking distance of Siena's major sites. We loved the city of Siena.
Unpleasant Surprises:
We thought that the cleaning and utility charges should be included in the price of the rental.
Surrounding Area:
Siena was beautiful! It also had great transportation methods to surrounding areas.
