2 km from Cortona, this hamlet is perfectly located for day trips throughout eastern and southern Tuscany, as well as northern Umbria. Just off the road leading to Cortona, this location is easily accessible, especially because of the bus stop just outside the estate which goes to Cortona and Arezzo. You can also go as far as Florence, via a train from Camucia, just 3 km away.

(35,000 m2) This beautiful 19th century hamlet has been carefully and lovingly restored by the owner, a member of a noble Cortonese family. It is situated at the base of a hill, looking up towards the town of Cortona, which sits on top of the hill. The estate consists of eight apartments within three buildings, all similarly decorated with some antique pieces. There is also a nice restaurant, a bar, a wine bar serving traditional foods, a lovely chapel, and a beautiful new swimming pool with showers and changing rooms. The dimensions of the pool are 10m x 20m, 0.9-2.2m deep. There is also a small hall for meetings, as well as an intimate hotel with twelve rooms. There is a shared washing machine available.

(110 m2) Ground floor: Steps go down to the front door of the apartment. Formerly the house of the overseer, this apartment is located on the ground floor of the original structure. It has its own private entrance, and is in a quiet location. It is located about 100 meters from the pool. There is a living/dining room with a double sofa bed, arm chairs, and dining table with chairs. There is a fully equipped kitchen. The three bedrooms consist of a room with a trundle bed, a twin-bedded room, and a single bedroom. There are two bathrooms, each with sink, toilet, and tub with handheld shower head. There is no outside area for sitting or dining.

Overall:
We had a lovely time at the apartment near Cortona. The unit had plenty of room for 6. We loved the property and would highly recommend it.
Enjoyed Most:
We enjoyed the afternoons we spent in the pool. It was beautiful.
Unpleasant Surprises:
It was very hot when we were there. The windows do not have screens so we could not leave the windows open at night or late afternoon to cool the apartment and there were no fans in the apartment. Our stay would have been more enjoyable if we could have kept the apartment cooler. The restaurant is OK. A little over-priced and the service was slow.

Overall:
We had 8 people in our group, and everyone was equally pleased with everything. You know how hard it is to make everyone happy, but the overwhelming consensus was they all want to come back! I think that speaks volumes.
Enjoyed Most:
The minute we drive into the property we were very excited. It was so beautiful and well groomed we had a feeling of a relaxing stay.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Really nothing here to complain about. The washing facilities could have been a little better. It took us forever to use the laundry.
Other than that, we were very happy.
Surrounding Area:
The walking paths and the availability of items. Everyone there was so helpful and accommodating. The beauty of the whole area is awesome.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Camucia was not within walking distance, but there was bus service nearby and just a short drive into town.
Tips or Restaurants:
There is a Supermarket close by in Camucia. It has anything you may need.
The restaurant we ate at twice was very good. I do not think there is a bad place anywhere in the area.
Check In Out:
Everyone there was very helpful and even escorted us to our villa. The resident cat also made sure we had help when needed!
