2 km from Cortona, this hamlet is perfectly located for day trips throughout eastern and southern Tuscany, as well as northern Umbria. Just off the road leading to Cortona, this location is easily accessible, especially because of the bus stop just outside the estate which goes to Cortona and Arezzo. You can also go as far as Florence, via a train from Camucia, just 3 km away.

(35,000 m2) This beautiful 19th century hamlet has been carefully and lovingly restored by the owner, a member of a noble Cortonese family. It is situated at the base of a hill, looking up towards the town of Cortona, which sits on top of the hill. The estate consists of eight apartments within three buildings, all similarly decorated with some antique pieces. There is also a nice restaurant, a bar, a wine bar serving traditional foods, a lovely chapel, and a beautiful new swimming pool with showers and changing rooms. The dimensions of the pool are 10m x 20m, 0.9-2.2m deep. There is also a small hall for meetings, as well as an intimate hotel with twelve rooms. There is a shared washing machine available.

(95 m2) Ground floor: To the right of the entrance, there is a living room with a double sofa bed and armchairs. The dining room with table and chairs is beyond the living room, and the kitchen with dishwasher is to the right of the dining room. From the entrance the queen bedroom is to the left, along with a bathroom (toilet, sink, and shower). The second bedroom with twin beds is to the left of the dining room. There is another bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower. The meeting room is next to this apartment.

Enjoyed Most:
It seemed in the country but was only minutes from town. The pool area is fantastic and the staff friendly.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Screens also would have been nice, since no AC. The mosquitos would come in if we opened windows in the evening. They brought us 2 floor fans.
Surrounding Area:
Cotona town is lovely, and their are many close side trips within an hour to see
Tips or Restaurants:
Il Falconairre was very expensive and rather experimental we thought. Toninos in Cortona itself was very good.
Directions:
We were using a GPS and it tried to direct us up into the actual walled town of Cortona. Just make it clear that the villas are in the Commune di Cortona - not up in the actual ancient town itself.
Check In Out:
80 Euro cleaning fee seemed a bit steep.
