Overall:
This was a fantastic rental - on a beautiful property. Great for families, as well as groups of 10 there are two adjoining suites to the main house that can sleep another 4 people. This exceeded all of our expectations!
Enjoyed Most:
Everything was great The house, kitchen and pool were terrific. Surrounding farm and land was tranquil and gorgeous. Pepe and Isabel were very helpful and kind. The house had all the needed amenities - from WiFi stereo, to comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean.
Unpleasant Surprises:
All is good.
Surrounding Area:
Beautiful towns built into the mountains; Ronda is a city with rich history; close proximity to hiking; villa located on a working farm. In late August we were able to pick loads of fruit and veggies. The evening were clear and quiet. No ambient light means you can see tons of stars. Proximity of towns with markets, banks, cafes, etc. Train station nearby with service to Granada.
Nearby Events or Locales:
Estacion de la Frontera is the nearest town. It is nearly 3KM down a dirt road, and another 12 a KM to get there - so not walkable.
Tips or Restaurants:
When arriving on a Saturday, hit the grocery store before arriving at the property. Stores in Cortes de la Frontera close at 2:30 on Saturday - the owners stock the house with a few things, but once you get to the property you won't want to leave.
Directions:
There are two ways to come into Cortes de la Frontera - if you are not coming from Malaga, you can wind up coming in through the town of Cortes de la Frontera - which takes you through some roads that are a bit more treacherous.
Check In Out:
The couple dealing with check-in were very helpful. The people on the ground at this property were able to secure tickets for our group at the Ronda bullfights - which they provided us the first day. Great!!

Overall:
Attractive property with beautiful grounds. The small side-villas, additional rentals, are probably the nicest part of the property. When the season is right there are a lot of fruit trees apricots, figs etc. In summary, it's a very nice property, although clearly priced at the high end.
Enjoyed Most:
Peace and quiet.
Unpleasant Surprises:
Long drive to get anywhere along very windy roads. No hot-water the first 3 days as the solar panel heater was not working.
Surrounding Area:
An abundance of "white" villages holding on to steep mountain sides. If you're willing to drive there are an abundance of destination towns: Sevilla, Granada, etc.
Nearby Events or Locales:
It takes 10 minutes on a gravel road to the main road.
Tips or Restaurants:
Several restaurants within 20 minute drive. Most of them don't even open until 8pm.
Directions:
There are quite a few twists and turns to get to the meeting place where the contact will lead you to the property - don't be afraid to ask directions along the way.
