Perfect for the large family or group of friends interested in a beautiful Mediterranean style Amalfi sea cliff villa rental overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The villa was built two hundred years ago and is located on a peak of the rocky coast and is situated between the road and the sea. It is very peaceful and relaxing. The villa has a terrace, a porch, a garden and it has extensive panoramic views of the sea and of Amalfi. The terrace is partially shaded for welcome respite from the sun.

The villa is located 1.5 Km from the town of Amalfi and is ideally situated to explore the surrounding area. There are two houses (La Marchesina and Casa Moro) that are on the same property as a hotel, and the occupants can use the services of the hotel, including bar, free parking, and booking excursions throughout the area. To reach the center of Amalfi, you must walk on the Coast Road for about 600 meters until you find a shortcut with steps to reach the town. The beach access is located about 100 meters away from the villas and the hotel, and is accessible by 400 stairs. There is a bus stop a short distance away.

The smooth white villa is partially shaded by purple bougainvillea and is located next to a mandarin orange grove. A large terrace faces the sea and features numerous arches and is tiled in sea blue majolica. The terrace runs in front of all the rooms on the first floor and faces the sea and sun. It is fully furnished with table, chairs and sun loungers and is partially shaded by a vine that grows up from the garden below. The villa is 100 steps from the road, so it is quiet. There is private parking at the hotel near the villa.
InteriorDescription
(200m2) The villa has been designed to take advantage of the incredible views of the sea and has been upgraded with many modern conveniences.
Ground Floor: A large sitting room is located off the main terrace that faces the sea and is accessed through two large glass doors. In the middle of the room there is a large table with some small armchairs. Along one wall there is a fireplace and along another there is a piano. Large paintings and a television complete the furnishings. The floor is made of glossy majolica painted by hand. Next to the sitting room there is a large kitchen where an antique coal cooking range made of ceramic and iron has been kept. The kitchen is also equipped with four gas rings, an oven and a washing machine. It has a table for 8. One of the four double bedrooms is found on the ground floor. The bedroom has a queen sized bed (160 cm) and has an en suite bathroom with shower. It has a window that overlooks the garden and its position keeps it cool in summer. There is also a ceiling fan, but no air conditioning.
First Floor: An internal wood and majolica tile staircase lead up to the first floor from the sitting room. Located on the first floor are three double bedrooms. Each bedroom has sea views and has a private balcony with access to the terrace. Each of the bedrooms has a queen sized bed (160 cm) and has its own bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have en suite bathrooms with showers, while the third bedroom has a bathroom with shower that is not en suite. Each balcony is fully furnished with its own table and chairs. These three rooms have air conditioning.
In two of the rooms it is possible to add, upon request) a single (100 cm) bed, therefore reaching the maximum of ten sleeping places.

Overall:
Our family enjoyed it immensely. we were three couples and we felt at home. The concierge at the hotel next door was very helpful, as were Simona, George and Franco, who we nicknamed Superman.

The serenity, the view and the proximity to town.

The 96 stone steps up to the road. we did get a great workout every day.

The town of amalfi was beautiful.
Tips or Restaurants:
we needed a toaster. Buy paper towels and napkins, sugar substitute, and a good sense of humor. You will love it!

we used a GPS.

it was effortless with the help of the hotel personnel.

The sinks dripped, and the TVs did not work. It took 92 steps to get down to the house!!!

Amalfi was within walking distance for us - about 1.5 miles. Others might consider it to far to walk.

L'Abside in town was fantastic.
Directions:
We took a car from the train station in Salerno, so we did not need to find our way.
