The villa is located on the water's edge, just outside of the pretty town of Minori, in an area called Marmorata which is below the mediaeval town of Ravello. The villa enjoys an exclusive waterside position and the proximity to Ravello, where all the musical and cultural events are held. This beautiful residence belongs to an old aristocratic family; it has that special charm and character typical of period homes with a rich historical background with majolica tiled floors and high arched ceilings throughout. The villa is a restored paper mill that was converted a long time ago, like many others in the area, into two large private apartments. The views from the house are magnificent; the water is just below the property, with private access to the sea and three large private terraces, each equipped with lounge chairs and sun umbrellas. There are several apartments above this house inhabited by permenant residents, while the two large units represented here (can be rented separately or as one large apartment) are joined by a double bedroom. The wisteria terrace belongs to Ceramica Terrace. Distances: Amalfi 5km, Minori 1.8km, Ravello 7km, Positano 20km, Sorrento 39km, Naples airport 90km. Blue SITA busses cost about 1-2 euros, depending on destination. Stops are marked with a blue and white SITA sign. The small internal bus (orange mini-bus) of Positano is marked by a brown FERMATA sign. Driving times are: Ravello to Amalfi, 15 minutes; Amalfi to Positano, 30 minutes; Positano to Sorrento, 35 minutes.

Overall:
It is a long walk down to the water, but the area has a lot of room. The plunge pool would be nice when it is hot, but it wasn't hot and it wasn't filled when we were there.
Enjoyed Most:
The view is very nice and the villa has a huge amount of space which is nice when a number of people are traveling.
Unpleasant Surprises:
It was unusually cold and rainy when we were at the villa. As a result, the natural coolness of the villa which is built into the side of the cliff was a negative. I imagine that this natural coolness is a positive when it is hot outside.
Surrounding Area:
The Amalfi Coast is incredibly beautiful and the people are very nice
Nearby Events or Locales:
Minori is an easy walk--about 15 minutes. Ravello is a hard walk up the stairs up the hill--about 1 hour--but it is worth the effort.
Tips or Restaurants:
We enjoyed Salvatore's in Ravello. It is a good place to go before a concert in Ravello. The Bar at the top of the driveway has good coffee and pleasant people.
Directions:
The signs to the Amalfi Coast road are brown, not green. The turn off to the driveway to the villa is quite sharp and the driveway is very steep. The villa is at the very end of the driveway.
