Wonderful castle of the 12th century, restored in the 17th century by the noble Acciaioli family, with a magnificent tower built on the model of the one of Palazzo Vecchio in Firenze, set on a large cultivated property, with vineyards and olive-groves. Distances: Montagnana with tennis court and food shop 1 km, Montespertoli 4 km, Firenze 20 km, Pisa Airport 70 km. Large, charming and terraced park, equipped with garden furniture, table tennis, beautiful Italian gardens, (original of the 18th century), with lemon trees and swimming-pool (14 x 7 m - open from 30/03 to 26/10). The farmhouses around the castle have also been divided into apartments and next to one of them there is another swimming-pool (12 x 6 m - open from 30/03 to 26/10) at disposal of all clients. The castle is directly run by the Posarelli family, reception is open from 8.30/12.30 and from 14.30/18.30 on weekdays - on Saturdays from 8.00 to 20.00. Telephone in the courtyard (phone card). Parking in front of the castle. Possibility of buying the produce of the farm in the small bar situated in the former cellars of the castle. Three times a week (on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays) possibility of dinners (minimum 15 people) in the small tavern of the castle. Upon request possibility of renting a baby bed (euro 52 / per week, payment on the spot) and /or an extra bed (euro 77 / per week payment on the spot). Maid service available (euro 12 / per hour to be paid on the spot).
In the outbuildings: Montegufoni 1 / Montegufoni 6: shared, fenced and equipped garden with swimming pool (12 x 6 m - open from 30/03 to 26/10). Montegufoni 1B / Montegufoni 4 / Montegufoni 14 / Montegufoni 31 / Villa Osbert: equipped outdoor space, 150 m from the swimming-pool.

Overall:
We had a great time! We rented several units in the castle and this house to accommodate our family group of about 20. It was just perfect. It was exactly what we wanted and expected.
Enjoyed Most:
It was awesome beautiful. Location was great.
Unpleasant Surprises:
For the older people in our group, the walk into town was too far and too steep to be comfortable.

Events or Locales:
All of the places we visited
were great. Greve in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, San Gimignano were fairly close with beautiful drives to get there. Siena and Florence
were also fairly close by highway access.
Tips or Restaurants:
If you only have a week, you should focus on just one or at most two areas to explore in Tuscany rather than trying to cram in a lot of places.
One restaurant stands out. It was extremely hard to find but well worth the effort. It is called La Cantinetta di Rignana. It is outside of Panzano in
Chianti on the road (dirt road)
to Badia. The views were amazing and the food excellent. The phone# is 055 852 601.
