Spend your vacation in an Italian Lakes villa rental in Lesa, a refreshing lakeside resort town on the western shore of Lago Maggiore. This lovely glacial lake anchors mountains stepping upwards to the Italian Alps, creating the heart of Italy's “Lake District.” An area with a noted northern influence, Lesa is devoted to outdoor and aquatic pass-times, including plenty of small villages to explore and more than enough stunning scenery to fill a vacation rental experience. Whether boating or hiking, you'll find plenty of rustic Italian atmosphere to spare.

On the western shore of Lake Maggiore, Lesa sits between Stresa and Arona. Grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops are plentiful; there is also a pharmacy and post office within walking distance. Sites to visit in the area include Stresa, the Borromeo and Brissago Islands, Arona, Villa Taranto (botanical gardens), and the Cannero Riviera. A ten minute drive will take you to the ferry launches in Belgirate, while the romantic Lake Orta (with San Giulio Island) is only fifteen minutes away. In Stresa (5 minutes' drive), you can find the lovely Grand Hotel of the Barromees Islands, which offers beauty, fitness, and stress relief programs with modern equipment. There are also two swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), a tennis court, a steam room, and a sauna. The area is also populated with excellent restaurants, cafes, and shops. Water sports such as sailing, windsurfing, and waterskiing are available in Lesa, Stresa, and Belgirate. Milan's Malpensa airport is 27 km away.

(1750 m2) An attractive two-story lakeside vacation rental property, Villa Lesa has recently been restored and refurnished with all the comforts of home. It is the perfect place for any seeking absolute relaxation combined with the opportunity for fascinating excursions. The lake shore garden offers various areas in which to relax, with comfortable garden furniture, a barbeque, and a patio for “al fresco” dinners. There is also a large pool (12x6m) by the beach, offering a view of the lake. The beach (not private) is accessed directly through a little gate. Renters should take note that the owner lives in another villa on the property (about 50 m away) and will share the gardens and pool. Also, as with most lakefront properties, the lakefront road is located at the back of the property and there is the usual noise associated with a main road. Nevertheless, Villa Lesa offers privacy and peace among gorgeous centuries-old trees.
