This Florence rental is located right on the Piazza Santa Croce, a large piazza with the Santa Croce church at one end with many shops, restaurants, and old palazzo on either side. All of the major sites of Renaissance Florence are within a short walk, including the Piazza Signoria, the Uffizi Gallery and the Duomo. The Santa Maria Novella train station is a 15-minute walk, and the closest bus stop is right at the base of the piazza.

A paid parking lot is in the neighborhood, just across Piazza Santa Croce. The price varies according to car size: 20/30 euros per day.

(187m2) Second floor (with lift). Two levels. This unusually spacious apartment surrounds one of the large private courtyards. It has tall windows which create a light and bright atmosphere.
First level: A large entrance hall brings you into this beautifully appointed apartment. The large comfortable living room is tastefully decorated with a double sofa bed and chairs and features frescoed walls and original 16th century wood beam ceilings.
Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are on this level. One twin bedded room has an ensuite bathroom with a small tub with handheld shower, sink, bidet and WC. The second bedroom has twin beds that can be joined to make a queen-size bed. The second bathroom has a tub with handheld shower, WC, bidet and sink. The kitchen is completely built-in and well equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator, stove and washing machine and dryer. There is an adjacent breakfast room with seating for six. The stately dining room has a table for 12 and a working fireplace. The apartment has independent heating. There are window air conditioning units in the living room and in one of the bedrooms.
Second level: Up 18 stairs is a loft master bedroom with queen-size bed and very small terrace (no view) which overlooks the inner courtyard of the palazzo. Up five stairs is the bathroom with bathtub with handheld shower, sink and WC. The master bedroom has a wall air conditioning unit.

Overall:
It was wonderful!! The apartment was more than we had expected---we would rent it again.
Enjoyed Most:
It was very well equipped, and all of the appliances worked.
Unpleasant Surprises:
The only complaint that we had was that there was a sewer smell in the smallest of the bedrooms that was coming from outside the building.
