This classic Italian rental rests on a hillside above the historic village of Settignano, considered an ideal place for rest and meditation. It is a place filled with vines and olive groves, with roots all the way back to Roman times. If you take the time to explore its streets, you’ll find the Church of Saint Maria, the New Public Square (which provides a panoramic view of Florence as well as a lovely statue), the Oratory of Vannella, the Villa Michelangelo (where the artist spent his youth), and the Villa Capponcina. There are also paths for scenic walks around the countryside. From the main square in Settignano, you can take bus #10 into Florence.

Completed early in the seventeenth century in the traditional Tuscan style, the entire estate is a marvel of architecture and gardening. The chapel itself is located on the bowling green, with windows looking out onto the gardens and views of Settignano and Florence. You’re welcome to explore the gardens all around the villa, and (while not strictly private) the space around your apartment is large enough to ensure privacy. You also have access to a shared swimming pool, open from May to the first of October. Because of their significance, the gardens surrounding the villa are open to the public (by appointment), so your party will not have entirely private access—surely a small price to pay for inhabiting a piece of Italian history.

There is one couch, a table for two, and a kitchenette with oven, stove, microwave, and refrigerator. A bedroom with a queen-sized bed (160 cm) is located to the right of the living room, while the bathroom, with sink, toilet, and shower, is on the left.
